…”Side please, side please! Make way…Clear the road.”
Interrupted a harsh and loud voice, spoiling my mood during a beautiful morning walk! And then to my surprise, a real long cue of cars started roaring, up on the road.
‘Too many cars at this hour, wonder that who has come?’ as soon as I asked myself, my mother approached the on-duty cop, asking him about who has come? The busy cop absent mindedly replied- “A politician, for a yatra indeed.” My God! These people didn’t even leave this calm place. When at this morning hour we are not even allowed to park our vehicles after a certain limit, these uncles get to drive their riches for some yatra!!! When everybody comes to enjoy this peaceful destination, why any Neta does has the liberty to spoil the surroundings, as they usually do.
So, as soon as this ‘Kaafila’ stopped, we resumed to our walk. Yet again only 5-10 steps we’d walked when we saw another tail of cars, but this time all in different colours, self exclaiming they weren’t of any other Neta.
But to my utter surprise, all the uncles had either their son or a similar aged man along with him. I remember I heard someone say aloud-‘Must be the big-wigs and their new men in the business, getting the”Blessings” is the right start to their business.’ And I busted out into a loud laugh! What kind of ‘chelaas’ were they? The poor Neta wouldn’t even have gotten out of his car yet, and these people are just racing over to get the ashirwaad first!
As the smell of the fuel cleared up, I stretched my legs for a while, to get ready to walk back to my walk. And what I see… The cars which had, just a few minutes ago, raced up to go and mark their ‘Haazirry’, are returning back. And trust me, every serious faced had turned out into some kind of a wicked smile as if they has all got some huge jackpot! And why not? These special ashirwaads are from ‘The Neta Ji’, it has to be special in every way, so as to get good amount of votes.
They make the aamjanta cry and the chelaas smile!
The reason why I say – It’s Netaji Kahiye !
