Hindustan Zinc is always committed towards upliftment of its neighbourhood community along with its business. It is our vision to enhance the quality of life & economic wellbeing of the communities around our operations.
As dedicated to the welfare of nearby community – 2 water ATMs were inaugurated at Dhana and Gadwa villages and one classroom foundation stone was laid by dignitaries – Mr. Dharamnarayan Joshi (MLA- Mavli), Mr. Anil Tripathi (Director – Zinc Smelter Debari), Mr. Jeet Singh Chundawat (Pradhan – Panchayat Samiti Mavli). RO water will be supplied from recently installed RO plant at Merta village. Earlier, Hindustan Zinc had installed 2 RO plants at Mahaj ki khedi and Mandesar villages along with 4 ATMs which are running on a self-sustainable system.
This plant will treat water which will be safe for drinking and help the community in terms of health improvement and prevention from water borne diseases. The ATMs are having capacity of 3000 litres of water in which water will be filled & supplied by tanker vehicle. 20 litres of pure water will be available only for Rs. 6 for the community. This initiative is likely to benefit more than 1000 family members from nearby community on daily basis.
HZL is improving quality of life by working on various projects under health, education, water, livelihood, women empowerment etc. for which laying of foundation stone ceremony of classroom was organised by Hindustan Zinc at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Merta village. Due to shortfall of rooms, HZL is going to construct one classroom for improving basic amenities in the school.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Khem Singh Deora (Village Sarpanch Representative). During the event, Mr. Narayanlal Joshi (School Principal), Dabok Mandal Pramukh – Mr. Jawan Singh Ranawat, Mavli Panchayat Samiti Member– Bhupendra Meghwal, Mr. Suresh Khatik (Up-Sarpanch Merta), Community people along with senior management of Zinc Smelter Debari were present.
