18 families from 4 nearby villages of Zawar Mines got benefitted…
Hindustan Zinc under its Community Service Initiatives, organized Eye check-up camp for Sakhi rural & tribal women of Zawar Mines. The camp was organized at Rural Development Resource Centre of Zawar Mines where more than 30 rural & tribal women from 18 families got benefited.

Chutki has to get-up every morning at 4:30 am, not to get ready for school, but to help her mother fetch water about 5 km away from a water reservoir. 5 km means about 15,000 steps for her. She is not alone, her friends have the same routine.
It is quite surprising as how the plastic bottles and broken plastic that we throw in our dustbins becomes part of recycling process and ultimately comes back to us in the shape and form of a finished product. Something that we throw as part of waste becomes means of livelihood for others, or is it that, someone is collecting these plastic waste on our behalf and sending it to its right place – the recycling units ?
60% of the plastic-waste collected and segregated gets recycled while the balance 40% adds to plastic pollution. Ultimately, what we do at an individual level will make the difference.
